Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Mascara

MY OPINION
If you follow me on Instagram, you'd know I have shared my deep love for the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes and Benefit Roller Lash Mascara. They together make the perfect combination for my non-existent lashes. But they are kinda expensive and the way I am running out of tubes every 3 months, I definitely need something drugstore to balance it all. One drugstore mascara that I do swear by is the Maybelline Rocket Volum' Mascara

I had heard some great things about the Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara and since it costed only 3 bucks I decided to give it a go. And oh boy, I am impressed. I'd be honest, I wasn't expecting Essence to nail a mascara formula but they sure did. As the name says, it definitely gives crazy amount of volume. The mascara is super black, pigmented and helps achieve AMAZING thick lashes.

What I don't like about this mascara is that it clumps pretty badly. It is so hard to get perfectly separated lashes with it. The more coats I apply, the clumpier my lashes get. The formula is also very wet, I prefer wet formulas but it is really easy to mess this one up if you aren't too careful. If you do manage to apply this with caution and perfection, you will surely get beautiful, thick lashes. Make sure you wipe off excess product before applying and curl your lashes too. Also, since the formula is so wet, it can smudge if you are living in a humid climate or are very oily.

I will be adding a swatch very soon, since the difference is worth seeing. I was just in a super hurry to get this review up.

MY RATING
If you want crazy volume this inexpensive mascara is a great steal!

  3. That sounds like a nice budget friendly mascara but I'm not sure about that brush. I prefer an 'old school' bristle instead of a plastic applicator!
