Spring 2015 Beauty Trend: Negative Space Nails

Spring 2015 Beauty Trends: Negative Space Manicure

I fancy elaborate nail art, but one does not always have the time to delve into such intricacies. New York Fashion Week 2015 saw a myriad of minimalist nail manicures for Spring. One such nail trend that really fascinated me is the Negative Space Nails, where you don't paint the entire nail, only a part of it. I also saw some more bizarre patterns where a plain line was drawn at the edge or a polka dot in the middle. If you are not a nail art expert or just lazy to spend hours decorating your nails, this trend is definitely your cup of tea.

Spring 2015 Beauty Trends: Negative Space Manicure

To create this nail manicure, I used Zoya Charisma, a brandless beige nail color and scotch tape. You can be as creative with the patterns as you want to be, mixing and matching different nail polishes.

What do you guys think of this nail trend? Personally, I am not such a fan of minimalist nails, thought Negative Space Manicures are quite easy and fun.

You can read my whole post on the 7 Spring 2015 Beauty Trends. Let me know in the comments below which trend would you like me to do next.

    1. Thank you! I have used normal scotch tape. Cut it into thin stripes, or triangles, depending on the design and put it on my nails.
