Intense Gunmetal Blue Eye Makeup - Tutorial

Intense Gunmetal Blue Eye Makeup Tutorial

I have wanted to use a particular denim blue shade for a long time and after playing around with it this is what I came up with. And I thought why not share a tutorial of this look with all you beauties.

Intense Gunmetal Blue Eye Makeup Tutorial

1. I prepped and primed my eyes with Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder and NYX Eyeshadow Base. Then I applied a scotch tape to create a sharp edge.

2. I used a denim blue eye pencil by L.A. Girl called Navy to define the crease as well as bringing it to my tear duct and the outer V. This is one of the crappiest eye pencils I own so I am sure whatever you use will do a better job.

3. I added the denim blue shade from L'Oreal Project Runaway Quad in 'The Mystic's Gaze' all over that blue eye pencil.

4. Blend it all for a softer look.

5. I applied NYX Cottage Cheese Jumbo Eye Pencil as a base to make the next eyeshadow pop. Then I added White Shimmer by Born Pretty Store on top.

6. I added just a touch of the black MUA Matte Eyeshadow Shade 20 in the outer V and the first vanilla-ish eyeshadow from the MUA Undressed Palette on my brow bone as a highlight. Then I blended everything together.
I brought forward the same denim blue on the outer three-fourth of my lower lashline and added the white shimmer on the inner part. I smudged it all to soften any harsh edges. At this point also remove the scotch tape.

7. Create a winged black eye! I used Maybelline Jade High Definition Liquid Eyeliner. Then I added L'Oreal Infallible Pencil Eyeliner to my tightline and waterline and smudged it on the lower lash line.

8. Apply mascara and put your favourite pair of falsies to create extra drama. Here I am wearing Ardell Demi Wispies over Maybelline Rocket Volum' Mascara. And in the end I filled my brows with the Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil in 'Dark Brown' and set them with Catrice Brow & Lash Gel.

9. For the lips I used NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in 'Candy Land' and added a touch of Rimmel Royal Lip Gloss in Candylicious on top for added shine.

Et voila! There you have your Gunmetal Blue Eyes paired with glossy pink lips.

  5. The tape was a really clever trick! ^_^. Avril Lavigne had a smoky eye on that looked something like this, with white shimmer on the lids and black on the outer v. And I've been searching for a tutorial every since. I'm definitely gonna re-create this look. Thanks Shang J! <3
