PRICE & AVAILABILTIY

THE BASICS
L’Oreal Paris Makeup Corrector Pen is exactly the same size of gel/ball pen. It has a wet, slanted tip which is infused with makeup remover.

HOW IT WORKS
1. I have applied a thick line of a waterproof eyeliner pen. I want to make the line thinner.
2. I cleaned the edges, swiping once, with the L'Oreal Clean Artiste Makeup Corrector Pen. After, there is a left off colour.
3. You can see the tip of the pen from where I cleared off the mess. (I will clean it with a tissue later)
4. I followed up with my finger (tissue or q-tip can also be used) and the pen again and rubbed away any smudges.
MY OPINION
I haven’t heard of such a product from any other brand so I was really excited to test this one out. As you can see in the pictures, it looks like an ink remover. It is only to fix minor makeup mistakes (also of waterproof products). The concept is pretty much the same to what a q-tip dipped in makeup remover does. For quick fixes, accidental smudges, this thing comes in handy, but so does a q-tip. Unfortunately, I don’t see any wow factor in L’Oreal Paris Makeup Corrector Pen because it does all what a q-tip can do without paying $4.95. Also there is no magical way the corrector removes. It would have taken a toll over the q-tip removing method if it had wholey cleared the error. But like it, you have to follow up with a facial tissue or your finger to clean the left over smudges.
It definitely comes in handy if you are in a car or checking your makeup in a mall or at a party, where you accidentally smear your lipstick or eyeliner and cannot go through the whole process of picking out a q-tip and then dipping it in a makeup remover (which we seldom carry in our handbag). And also to achieve any precise lines if you mess up your winged eyeliner or dark lipstick. But make sure you swipe the felt tip clean after use each time.
It actually costs around $10.00 in the drugstores and is available for $4.95 on Brigette’s Boutique, which is not a bad price to pay for such a product. I won’t buy it for 10 dollars but for 5 dollars I might, since, in out-of-the-house emergencies it really is your makeup friend.

MY RATING

A handy, on-the-go alternative for q-tip to fix minor makeup errors!
