Review + NOTD: Born Pretty Store Hello Kitty & Floral Stamping Nail Art Kit

For ages I was dying to try out nail stamping when luckily Born Pretty Store offered to send me something for review. I chose Hello Kitty & Floral Stamping Nail Art Kit W/ 3 pcs NailStamp. And my oh my when the package arrived I was so hasty that I tore off the packing without even taking the picture :/ So here’s how the kit really looks like when you first receive it:

FACTS AND FIGURES
The kit contains:
2 pcs metal plate
3 pcs nail stamp polish
1 stamper and 1 scraper
Colours of the nail polish: Red, Green, Dark Blue

PRICE
$7.85
You can buy it online from Born Pretty Store.

MY OPINION
First, DO NOT forget to take off the plastic cover from the plates. It looks so invisible that even after reading about it everywhere I started stamping and kept wondering why couldn’t I get the image off.
When you see somebody else stamping nails, it seems like the easiest thing in the world, but just like everything else which has to be awesome, stamping demands practice. And let me tell you, if I can do it, everybody can.
This is a great beginner kit for somebody who wants to learn stamping. It provides you with all the basic konading tools, and that too for a good budget. The nail polishes came a little leaked and dried around its cap, but I didn’t use them much. I found a lot of opaque and not-quick-to-dry nail polishes in my own stack.
I started playing with the kit, the day it came. In the beginning I had problem with getting the entire image on my nail, but then I tried and tried and learned. I can still work on my creativity but yayy I know how to do stamping now. I LOVE this kit. I LOVE nail stamping. It gives you fun, artistic nails without being an artist. Just see how many cute floral images you can get through these stamping plates.

Here’s just a simple black and white attempt at nail stamping. I’d definitely do some more fun and festive NOTDs soon.

RATING
This is one AWESOME thing. I badly need some more plates, especially the French tip ones. I have my eyes on them for soo long.

  7. Cheeky Chic - Haha. I get lucky, I guess. :P

Ida Pie - Except for the green one, which has a jelly like texture the other two work fine. Besides, Wet N Wild, Elf and MUA polishes can be used too. Just test out. Nail polishes which are not that sheer and do not dry quickly, work great for stamping.

  11. Areej Usman - I almost gave up too but then I finally got the technique right somehow. Just watch a lot of youtube tutorials and don't sit under direct fan. Lol. My image used to dry out because I was under direct blast of air.
