Review: Neutrogena Fine Fairness Eye Cream
Neutrogena Fine Fairness™ Eye Cream, a daily eye cream that helps energise skin around the eye area for brighter and fairer looking eyes. The yeast extract helps reduce under eye puffiness, while the natural minerals help to condition and energize the skin. Mica visibly brightens the appearance of the eye contour area How to use: Apply morning and night on clean skin. Dab a small amount around the entire eye area patting gently until absorbed.
I bought it from Al-Fatah. It is available at all leading stores.
FACTS AND FIGURES
Neutrogena Fine Fairness™ Eye Cream comes in a 5g squeeze tube. The cream inside is light, of medium consistency and has a pearlescent look in its texture.
I get bored very soon, so it’s hard for me to stick to one product for long be it a shampoo, foundation, sunscreen or EYE CREAM. I was pretty satisfied with my last eye gel but still I went ahead and bought this. I have heard a lot about Neutrogena skincare products and I was sure I’d be happy with my purchase.
The look as you can see is simple enough. In most cases simple for me is classy, and the tube does look classy. I like eye creams to come in tubes rather than in tubs/pots. Poking fingers into tubs does get messy and is unhygienic. As far as the packaging is concerned, I am pretty cool with it. Another plus is that the cream smells really, really nice. There are many skincare products that smell awesome but after a day or two the smell starts getting to your head, because it’s just too much. Gladly, this cream is NOT one of them.
I prefer eye gels more because they are transparent and completely absorb into the eye area. One thing about this cream in particular is that it creates a thin film around my eyes, which is not visible but you can feel it. Because of this I have been applying this cream only at night. It has been a month since I have been using it but sadly till now I see NO visible difference at all. Forget eliminating, it did not even lighten my dark circles. I do admit, I have pretty bad dark shadows around my eyes but from Day 1 to Day 30 they look exactly the same. I know dark circle creams seldom work but they somehow make a difference in reducing puffiness or brightening or moisturizing eye area, this did none. The part where I was forced to discontinue using this cream is that dry patches started to appear around my eyes. In the beginning I blamed it on my makeup but since the time I have stopped using it I see the dry patches disappearing. I have combination skin, so it would obviously be more drying for people with dry/normal skin.
I am pretty disappointed with this cream. For now, I will stick to my trusted Cosmeceutique Under Eye Gel, which is much more effective and cheaper, until I find a better alternative.
Have anyone of you tried this eye cream and felt differently?
