Review: Sigma Eyeshadow Palette 'Flare'
A while ago Sigma introduced a new makeup line of Eyeshadow Palettes in Bare (classic neutrals), Dare (vibrant & neutral) and Flare (green and purples). They have been the hype since then. And I being the victim of the hype went ahead and bought the Flare Eyeshadow Palette. Out of these three I was memerized by the fun, colourful shades in Flare. Today I bring you a review on it to see how well it goes with its hype.
The Sigma Beauty FLARE palette contains a beautiful combination of greens and purples, combined with browns and beiges that are perfect to create fun and colorful looks! This palette includes beautiful iridescent undertones, which offer a must have selection of bright, yet sophisticated hues. FLARE is perfect for those days when you want to highlight your eyes with fun and flirty colors! Includes Sigma Beauty's best-selling E55 and E40 in a practical dual-ended brush. Contains matte and satin formulations.
You can buy it online at Sigma
FACTS AND FIGURES
The palette comes in 8 eye-catching shades of green and purples, browns and bieges. Along with it you get Sigma’s very own best-seller E55 (eye shading brush) and E40 (tapered blending brush) in a dual-ended brush.
The palette comes properly packaged within an extra cardboard layer over it and a plastic film on the eyeshadows. With it comes a pamphlet on Sigma Affiliate Program & Eyeshadow Palettes and a FREE E25 (blending brush).
Below is a closer look and swatches:
The moment I opened the package I was like WOW! The look of the palette is very cute and funky. It goes so well with its name ‘Flare’. The palette being a little bulky will take a lot of space in your travel bag but coming with a compact mirror and Sigma’s dual-ended brush you have everything you need inside it, so I wouldn’t mind taking it along. The setting of the eyeshadows is in a sturdy cardboard box rather than plastic so it is bound to get messy after a while.
The eyeshadows are a mix of shimmer and matte, brights and lights. They are super pigmented except for the lighter matte shades like ‘Allure’ and ‘Beware’. But if used with a good base, they all give your eyes an awesome colour pay-off. The finish is very smooth with minimal fall-out and easy blending. The have super lasting power too and stay on for almost a day even without a base. My favourite would be ‘Oversee’ which is a perfect teal shimmer and ‘Gossip’ which is the perfect burgundy matte.
The brush is a combination of Sigma’s best selling brushes. It is not the sponge tip applicator you get in the usual eyeshadow palettes.
Flare is a gorgeous mix of colours. It gives you fun and class both in one makeup palette. In case you are buying just ONE palette go for Flare. It makes an awesome addition in my eyeshadow collection at least.
